Chinese AI company Zhipu has launched GLM-5.3 and says the model beats Fable 5 and GPT-5.6 Sol on CyberGym, a benchmark for solving real-world cybersecurity challenges. The company said the model became better at reasoning across exploitation chains, not just spotting isolated flaws.

Zhipu says tests with Chinese companies found 2,436 vulnerabilities across 269 projects, including 1,097 medium-to-high severity issues. The findings reportedly covered kernels, operating systems, browser engines, open-source infrastructure, web applications and network protocols.

This does not mean western security teams should accept every benchmark claim at face value. It does mean that offensive and defensive cyber capability is diffusing quickly, and businesses should assume capable AI-assisted vulnerability discovery will not remain limited to a small group of US labs.

Siemens and Reinhausen develop 800V DC power for AI data-centre racks

Siemens and Reinhausen are developing a solid-state transformer designed to convert medium-voltage AC, up to 36 kV, into stable 800V DC power for dense AI data-centre racks. The goal is to reduce conversion stages and deliver power more efficiently to AI infrastructure.
